New Graphic Film Has Antimicrobial Properties

Keypad and graphic overlays with an antimicrobial protection are being introduced by Nameplates For Industry, Inc. (NFi) of New Bedford, Massachusetts. This hard-coated polyester film includes Microban antimicrobial protection, which inhibits the growth of bacterial mold and mildew that can cause odors, stains, and product degradation.

Microban International, Ltd. is a global leader in built-in antimicrobial product protection. Their Microban technology is incorporated into the graphic film's hard coat during the manufacturing process by Autotype Americas, Inc. Microban protection does not protect users from disease causing microorganisms.

Ideally suited for keypad overlays, nameplates, and decals used for doors, workstations, and counter tops where cleanliness is of top concern. These environments include hospitals, restaurants, fitness centers, airports, and high-traffic retail and consumer areas.
