NFi-Nameplates for Industry, Inc. is located in historic New Bedford, Massachusetts. The first 7 years were spent developing a customer base and learning the production process as done in the United Kingdom. In 1982 our own manufacturing operation was begun in Massachusetts, and in 1988 we gained our independence from the U.K. company. Today, our skilled staff of about 50 people prides itself on producing custom printed nameplates, faceplates, membrane switches, decals, labels, serial number tags, tamper-proof seals, keypad & back-lit graphic overlays, plastic cards and templates for companies throughout the United States. Our customers include manufacturers of appliances, computers, commercial machinery, communication equipment, medical devices, instrumentation and controls. Our products are also used to identify the services of copy, vending, cash register, home medical, and food service equipment companies. Top honors, in recognition of NFi’s quality, have been won repeatedly in renowned International Competitions. We are also helping to shape our industry through active involvement in the SGIA (Specialty Graphic Imaging Association) and GPI (Graphic & Product Identification Manufacturers Association). I started the company as a sales office in 1975. My partner and mentor was the owner of a small manufacturing company on the Isle of Wight in England called "Nameplates for Industry, Ltd."
